I mean, who hasn't found them awake at 3 am in the morning wishing they could fall asleep? I know I have! Annie Schlecht has the ability to help adults AND children with sleep hygiene. After talking with her, I utilized some of her recommendations with our oldest son. It absolutely worked. As we all (hopefully) start to transition back to our new normalcy of life, our sleep patterns may need a transition too. Annie's episode will bless you with tips and encourage you to work towards better sleep habits. I can't wait to hear how this episode changes your sleep life!
Annie Schlecht, founder of Zen Sleep Consulting, works 1:1 with clients (birth to adults) to help them master independent sleep skills using natural remedies. Annie is a huge advocate for a healthy mindset and quality sleep and views these components as the foundation of human well-being. She is serious about the work she does; yet, likes to do it with a splash of humor and a Zen approach.
Annie graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine with a master’s of occupational therapy. After working as a pediatric OT for 7 years, specializing in the birth to 5 year old population, she saw a huge need for advanced coaching in sleep. She decided to dive deeper into the field and became a certified sleep consultant in 2016 and is the first private sleep consultant in the state of ND.
Annie is also a certified infant massage instructor and adores teaching parents this beautiful means of bonding. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the healthy development and sleep of young children, but also wanted to make sure that the parents she worked with were getting good sleep as well. She continued with her sleep training and became a certified adult sleep consultant in 2019.
Annie became a Reiki Practitioner in 2017 so she could promote healing and decrease stress levels in her clients. Tapping into her Reiki practice truly helped her find her “Zen” and she strives to help her clients find theirs. Annie lives in rural ND with her dreamboat husband, Tyler, and spunky little girls, Ruby and Pippa. When not chasing zzz’s or living her best mom life, you can find her playing with her dogs, playing volleyball, hanging out with girlfriends, sipping on red wine, and taking bubble baths......lots and lots of bubble baths. She is always the first one on the dance floor and loves to make people laugh with her sarcastic sense of humor.
